Total Event Production realizes the production world is moving toward the use of pre-visualization studios, and has made a commitment to the use of this invaluable design and presentation tool by implementing a design suite utilizing both ESP Vision and VectorWorks. Pre-visualization studios are popping up around the world, and Total has made the commitment to be at the forefront of this developing technology.

ESP Vision 2.0 software is the current leader in lighting simulation software. It allows real-time programming and visualization of all lighting - prior to loading into the venue. Coupled with 3D Studio Max, Autodesk Viz or Vectorworks. allows complete modeling and pre-visualization of the venue, along with the lighting design, atmospheric effects and animation. Total chose to use Vectorworks. as the primary CAD and modeling software because of the Spotlight and Renderworks packages that integrate seamlessly into the final product.

Any lighting project will benefit from ESP Vision's real-time capabilities, giving the lighting designer the tools necessary to pre-program the show before arriving at the venue. This process will reduce stress, on-site time, and production costs while nurturing creativity.

In addition, ESP Vision fully integrates with all of the Wholehog lighting consoles now in use at Total, as well as all other consoles on the market today.

Vectorworks Spotlight has become the standard in entertainment and lighting design software, merging 2D drafting and 3D modeling into one advanced tool. In addition, paperwork generation is automated within Spotlight, providing all of the paperwork for an event to the crew leads, saving time in the design stage of the project. The use of the 2D/3D hybrid design environment allows the designers and clients to envision the project prior to implementation, saving time and money. Proof of concept is an invaluable benefit provided by these tools.

VectorWorks Spotlight is now used by scenic and set designers worldwide to design sets for TV, motion pictures, Broadway musicals and more. Lighting designers worldwide are using the product to design lighting for theatrical events, live concerts, corporate events and more. True photometric data can be calculated from within the software, using actual data for industry-standard lighting fixtures.

VectorWorks Renderworks seamlessly provides photo-realistic and hand-rendered effects directly from the application, allowing stunning presentations featuring realistic or artistic interpretation of the final design; prior to seeing the final product in person. All lighting instruments within the design have real-world attributes, allowing the client to visualize the final project in real-world clarity. Client presentations can even include animated videos, with real-time scenery movement or other dynamics such as camera movement or design fly-through.
