Core of system is Sony DXC-D55WS cameras, with IMAG, broadcast, and webcasting capabilities
Total Event Production is now offering a new live event/broadcast camera package featuring three Sony DXC-D55WS cameras with the all-new 14-bit A/D conversion circuit and 20x Canon zoom lenses. Furthermore, the package is expandable through Total to provide additional cameras. With this high-end camera package, you can do multi-camera image magnification, or LIVE video to air, tape, or streamed to the Internet.
The new Sony D55s cameras digitally process images at four times the precision of previous cameras, resulting in richer, more brilliant video for your audience. For large venue coverage, the cameras are equipped for cable runs of nearly half a mile (2,460 feet)! And with multiple configuration options, including widescreen/16:9 switchable, and optional 50x and 87x Fujinon sports lenses, this camera package is flexible to bring higher quality video to any venue.
The live system is complete with an Echolab Opera 3732 SDI switcher, or a Sony DFS700 Component switcher. Both switchers offer the ability to include playback sources and downstream keying. All of this synergizes to provide new options for high-end, standard definition production with brilliant color and superior digital signal processing.
In Depth Sony DXC-D55WS Cameras (3) Each D55 is equipped with three 2/3 inch type Power HAD EX CCDs and the latest 14-bit A/D conversion circuit. The 2/3 inch Power HAD EX CCDs offer up to 850 lines of horizontal resolution, provide a high sensitivity of F11 (at 2000 lx, 3200k), an excellent signal-to-noise ratio of 65 db, and a very low smear level of -145 db (typical). The high quality 14-bit A/D converter processes images at four times the precision of previous 12-bit converters. This higher resolution produces better contrast in mid-to-dark-tone areas of the picture. Additionally, the 14-bit accuracy helps eliminate pre-knee signal compression in highlight areas, allowing the camera to clearly reproduce a high-luminance subject. Scanning is performed at 480i, and the live signal is output through a Triax interface. All of this provides brilliant color and superb picture quality for your live event or broadcast in 16:9 or 4:3 standard definition (SD) video.
Canon Hyper Standard Pro-Video Lenses Each of the D55 cameras is equipped with Canon 20x Pro-Video Standard lenses (YJ20x8.5B KRS/IRS). Each feature a wide focal length of 8.5mm, the highest zoom ratio, fast zoom speeds of 1.2 sec from wide to tele, and internal focus technology. Internal focus technology increases resolution by improving chromatic aberrations, and decreasing flare. Two of the lenses are the KRS models, and one is the IRS model, which features a 2x lens extender in addition to the 20x zoom. All three models offer a focal length of 8.5mm to 170mm, with the IRS model offering the additional focal length of 17mm to 340mm.

Fujinon Sports Lenses For even higher performance, the D55s are also available with a variety of sports zoom lenses with up to 87x zoom ratios, enabling you to capture the action closer than ever before.
Echolab Opera 3732 To switch and process your pristine digital image, Total also offers the Echolab Opera 3732 live standard definition digital/analog switcher. Based on Echolab's popular 1.5ME design, the Opera 3732 features 16 direct analog or digital SDI inputs, 2 on-board DVEs, 1 memory effects bank, 2 downstream keyers, a library of organic wipes, and the Echolab CK4 chromakeyer on each and every keyer.
The Opera 3732 also provides eight digital/analog outputs to display your finished product in multiple places simultaneously
Sony DFS-700 The Sony DFS-700 switcher is also available as another option, with 8 component inputs and a downstream keyer.
Additional Support Equipment To complete Total's new switching unit, all components are mounted in portable shock-mount racks, facilitating easy installation.
